Gilbert Wen, Ph.D.

Prior to founding OPL, Dr. Wen built a distinguished career spanning more than 20 years at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and Pfizer,
where he specialized in the development of controlled‑release drug products. His work focused on product line extensions and
the advancement of innovative oral drug delivery technologies, contributing to the successful development of several original controlled‑release pharmaceutical products.

Dr. Wen is an accomplished inventor with 26 patents granted across the United States, Europe, Japan, and China. He is also a co‑author of Oral Controlled Release Formulation Design and Drug Delivery: Theory to Practice, published by Wiley, a leading reference in the field of controlled‑release pharmaceutical development.

He earned a B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Peking University and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada.
