Bruce Cai, Ph.D.

Dr. Cai brings more than a decade of clinical operations experience at OPL, where he leads the planning and execution of global clinical development programs. Under his leadership, OPL has successfully conducted over 120 multi‑regional clinical trials (MRCTs), spanning investigator‑initiated trials (IITs), Phase I–III studies, pilot bioequivalence (BE) studies, and pivotal BE trials.

With deep expertise in clinical development, project management, and regulatory compliance, Dr. Cai has played a key role in advancing numerous pharmaceutical products from early‑stage research through regulatory submission.

Dr. Cai holds a B.S. in Clinical Pharmacology from the University of Science and Technology Beijing and a Ph.D. in Biology from Ghent University, Belgium. He further broadened his international experience through internships at Janssen, Syngenta, and Koppert in Europe.
