Gilbert Wen Ph.D.

Prior to founding OPL, Dr. Wen has more than 20 years of experience in developing controlled release new drug products at GSK and Pfizer where he focused on product line extensions and contributed to the development of several original controlled‑release products. He has 26 patents granted by US, Japan, Europe and China.

Dr. Wen is also a co‑author of the book Oral Controlled Release Formulation Design and Drug Delivery: Theory to Practice, published by Wiley Press. He earned his B.S. degree in Pharmaceutical science from Beijing University and his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada.
